THAI STREET FOOD – ON NUT, BANGKOK

One of my favourite things about travel is trying the local food; so it must be no surprise that my favourite thing to do in Bangkok is devour every bit of local Thai street food I can get my hands on! Pad Thai, peanut chicken, curries, barbecued meats…literally everything!

I thought it would be a good time to share some of our favourite places to get street food in and around the On Nut BTS Station.

After a few days in Bangkok, we left the Jasmine Hotel Resort and headed to X2 Vibe hotel near On Nut BTS station. Here we found some amazing street food locations I would recommend for everyone!

Street vendor – Sukhumvit 52

Here you will find a selection of local street food vendors. We tried some amazing Pad Thai and they even had some fruity soda drinks too that were super sugary but delicious!

Corner 49

A chilled out place to eat some local food but all enjoy cheap beer and cocktails. We watched Premier League games here and there was cute little pond area that the seats surrounded. You head over to the vendors, order some food and they bring it to your table.

During our stay, we spent a LOT of time at this place. It is relaxed, cheap, friendly and super convenient!

On Nut Market

As you exit the BTS station, head towards Sukhumvit Soi 81. Walk for around 5 minutes down the Soi and you will find the New On Nut Market; an area full of stalls and vendors serving both Thai and International food.

The street food in Thailand is a must and although I have been there a couple of times, somehow I have missed out on having it. The vibrant flavors and ingredients really are attractive and leaving aside the creepy-crawlies that I just can’t get around to eating, I really want to explore the food side of Thailand some day.

I am starving right now! I spent 6 months in Bangkok during an exchange semester and absolutely loved the inredible street food! I’ve only been back to Thailand a couple of times since then but I just miss the food so much… it’s cheap and everywhere

Love street food, Ann awesome selections of places I your post, the food pics me very very hungry as it is just about lunch time in UK. Cannot wait now to get back to Bangkok in May and get back to some serious street food (eating). I heard the Thai government is getting rid of a lot of roadside vendors which will be a shame as some of the food is delicious and it is their main income for some.
