MERRY CHRISTMAS: DECEMBER MONTHLY SUMMARY 2017

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM KATIE AND CALUM!

What’s up?

Before we start anything, we just want to say a very Merry Christmas to you all – Thank you, Thank you and Thank you.

O.K. December has been AWESOME!

As Tianjin became colder, we discovered more recipes we could make ourselves and found a new imported foods shop! My kids were actually awesome at school, they have done so well this term and gave me a tear or three with there amazingness! (Yes, I am one of THOSE teachers).

Then, without a moments breath, we flew to Dubai and had an incredible few days exploring the desert and living the high life at the Shangri – La Hotel. I enjoyed Dubai much more than I expected to and can’t wait to write up some blogs about our time there.

To finish of the month, we continued our journey on to the U.K. We have been in England now for 5 days and two of those were up in Liverpool watching Chelsea away. We are here until the New Year and can’t wait to spend more time with our families.

Love and Hate

On the lead up to Christmas, I have of course, searched high and low for all Christmas Travel Blog posts! Here are my favourite!

Things to taste and buy at a Vienna Christmas Market

Birmingham Christmas Market

Unusual Christmas Travel Ideas

Holiday Time in New York City

Christmas in Spain

Irish Christmas Traditions

A Very MERRY Expat Christmas

Hate?

Last minute Christmas shopping… Not looking at ANYONE in particularly, but shopping on Christmas Eve for your in-laws gifts because your husband “completely forgot it was Christmas” is just annoying! A good thing I love him hey!

Highlight of the month

Being frantically waved at by my mother at Gatwick Airport; as cheesy as it sounds, nothing beats seeing your parents happy!

O.K. second highlight was Dune Bashing and flying the drone around the desert in Dubai!

What’s next?

We will be finishing of the month in England then head back to Tianjin, China in the New Year. We hope to head over to Harbin for the Ice Festival in January and we will also be heading up to Beijing one weekend to explore the markets and pub street.

On a serious note, we want to say a massive thank you to all our readers, supporters and friends who read our blog, share our posts, follow us on social media etc etc. We couldn’t be more grateful for your support and love, so thank you!

We hope you enjoy the holidays, wherever you may be and please do comment, message or email us and tell us about your travels around the world!

With all our love at Christmas
