ALICE IN WONDERLAND AFTERNOON TEA: LONDON, ENGLAND

So, whilst we headed back in England for Christmas, I decided to FINALLY go for Afternoon Tea with my mum. I am a BAD BRIT – I made it to the age of 27 without having Afternoon Tea! To make up for it, I decided to try an Alice in Wonderland Afternoon Tea at the St James Court Hotel, London.

Location, Location, Location

For this experience, we reserved a table directly with Kona Restaurant at St James Court Hotel. The exterior of the hotel was stunning and unusual for the centre of London whilst the inside was quaint and fancy.

To get to this hotel, it is best to get the underground to St James Park; the hotel is literally 2 minutes walk away. We came from London Bridge, taking the Jubilee line to Westminster then changing over to the Circle and District line. You can also catch the Circle and District line from Victoria.

I’m not the biggest tea-drinker, but I actually attended my first High Tea with my grandma in San Francisco at the Saint Francis hotel. It was pretty fun to get all dressed up…until I realized that the Orange Pekoe doesn’t actually taste like orange. Not a fun discovery. The Alice in Wonderland place looks pretty fun and I’d like to check it out!

I am not a massive tea drinker either – Hot Chocolate and Prosecco were great replacements!

I miss afternoon teas! Well, they can be expensive, but if someone is treating you, why not go and indulge ๐Ÿ˜›

My mom and I had one in Fortnum and Mason early last year (I’m back in the Philippines now). Will save this so we can visit this on my next London trip.

Haha, I like that line- I made it to the age of 27 without having Afternoon Tea!. I am also the odd Indian who doesnโ€™t like tea much. That said, I do enjoy the tea at some places occasionally. I think I will enjoy the tea at St James Court Hotel. Loved the video!

I am so sorry if my comment comes up twice, internet here is a bit all over the place. Loving the look of this place. I’m back in London in April and it’s my mum’s birthday, so I know where I’ll be heading. Thanks!

Love this!! Looks fantastic. I Highly recommend also trying the Alice in Wonderland Tea at the Sanderson Hotel. Was simply blown away by the creativity and attention to detail. My mum and I both couldn’t get over how tasty it was. Still top of the list of themed afternoon tea for me though is Charlie and The Chocolate Factory at One Aldwych defo worth a visit.
